WR Gearbox pooped itself.

Okay so i have done the gearbox, slipping in 3rd and crunching like a worn sprocket slip.

My run of good times has come to an end with about $1000.00 in parts needed.

TERC enduro time

Have been sweep riding the enduros for the local club again.

the sweep is the rider last in line whose job is to ensure everyone else in the group ride arrives at the destination safely. The sweep is often the person with the most experience, not always the fastest, but certainly with a reliable motorcycle who is not going to be the person who breaks down or crashes themselves. Having at least a basic amount of mechanical experience and tools is a plus so field repairs may be made if necessary.

Have a great time doing this as i get to ride the tracks at my pace and it helps the club.

Oldina Extreme

On the trail again,

Went out for a 6 hour 80 Km ride with the trailriderz.com.au team  recently and had an excellent days ride.

Conditions were warm with wet slippery tracks and about 25 bikes and a lunch/fuel stop half way

Losing time to post

Well i havent been posting much again and it is due to the DIRT BIKE !

I seem to spend more time riding or doing something with it rather that touring on the Vstrom, times are changing.

I grew up on dirt bike and have only been on road bikes since the midlife 40's crisis, which inspired all the passion for dirt again.

Oh well im having heaps of fun and that what matters.

I have joined the local enduro club and do some sweep riding for them as i dont wish to be a racer.

Facebook has invaded me as well.
